About This Beer
The knights of craft at Pondeseta started with their beloved Castle Black Stout. Then they locked it away in Jim Beam barrels for a full 9 months to add nuances of toffee and whiskey to the base beer’s flavors of baker’s chocolate and roasty coffee. Lastly, they bottle conditioned it for a smooth mouthfeel that compliments the mocha finish

This was good. Deep barrel flavor without a lot of other flavors getting in the way. I’ll def try another brew from these guys if I get a chance.

Nice roasty malts and dark fruits. Barrel-aging is well done and supports the stout base.
