About This Beer
To craft this stellar sipper, the brewers blended Dark Star Stouts aged 24, 18, 12, and 8 months in 7-to-12-year-old Kentucky bourbon barrels for a twinkling constellation of rich, roasty flavors.
Tasting Notes
Notes of cocoa, vanilla, and warm whiskey radiate from each pour. Take a sip, and it’s like biting into a rich, smooth, Bourbon-infused dark chocolate truffle with just a whisper of espresso. Let it linger on the palate, and it dissolves into subtle layers of complex caramel and oak.

Fremont Barrel Aged Dark Star 2021
Aroma: Dark chocolate, vanilla, barrel, char, a hint of licorice. Oak, whisky, and espresso are present.
Taste: Boozy bitter chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, oak and expresso are dominant and consistent. A slight char oak closes the flavor profile.
Aftertaste: Oaky whiskey coated with dark bitter chocolate. Swirls of vanilla and flaks of espresso. Complex, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely a powerful beer.
