About This Beer
The stellar Taxman crew started with their InvEster base. They expertly nurtured the brew’s special Belgian yeast for enormous esters of lush banana, baked apple, and coriander.
Treacly Meadowfoam honey brightens the naturally honey-like flavors of the phenols in the brew, while soft vanilla rounds out the fruit and spice notes. Rich nuances of toffee and oak compliment it all courtesy of time spent aging in bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes
Decadent bananas foster, anise, and caramel apple pie flow into a roasty malt backbone for a bready accent. Vanilla oak intricacies lead to a complex, dry, crisp finish.

Love bourbon barrel beers. One of the very very few that turned out not to be for me.

Not bad! The best way I can explain it is kinda dry yet crisp. The honey really stands out in the after taste!

Hate to say it, but it was too sweet. First sip was off putting, then I got used to it for a moment, but by the end of a 12oz can I was overwhelmed with the honey sweetness.

Poured from a 12 ounce can dated 7/20/22 into a snifter.
Look- Medium amber, very hazy, cream colored frothy head, above average head retention and lacing, no visible particulate.
Smell- Apple, vanilla, floral, high strength of scent.
Taste- Banana, apple, coriander, oak, high strength of flavor.
Feel- Thin body, average carbonation, silky, mildly mouth warming, smooth.
Overall- Medium amber in color with a high amount of haziness. The bouquet was high in strength with an apple and floral character. The flavors were bold and a nice blend of banana, apple, coriander and oak. The feel was thin, but silky with a small amount of mouth warming. This beer had big flavors and bouquet that were enjoyable, but I could not detect any bourbon notes from the aging.

This was a new style for me. I didn't really get all the tasting notes described but it was still pretty good.

Didn’t appreciate the banana-y ester-y flavors they claimed. Did get the whiskey and honey though. I would say it tasted like an average Belgian type ale aged a bit in whiskey barrels. Overall decent
