A Note on This Beer

In the city of London, Kentucky, it’s illegal to have sex on a parked motorcycle. Which raises the question: is it legal to have sex on a motorcycle while it’s moving?

I don’t know, but I don’t recommend you try it.

Speaking of bizarre Kentucky laws, check this one out: it’s illegal to sell alcohol during an election anywhere in the state.

So during every vote, there are crowds of disappointed craft fans outside Braxton Brewing just waiting for the polls to close so they can snag a juicy sip. Because these haze experts are so beloved in the Bluegrass State, they’ve opened an incredible 4 locations, and they still can’t keep up with demand!

Especially at their Braxton Labs taproom, where they make amped-up, super-charged brews like DDH Edge of Mysteries (El Dorado) IPA. Walk in right now, and you’ll see pints of this juicebomb in just about everyone’s hand. As long as there isn’t an election happening.

To make it, the brew-gurus at Braxton Labs took their fan-favorite IPA — Edge of Mysteries — and doubled up the hops. That’s 2.5 lbs of Citra Hops used in the original brew, PLUS a whopping 2.5 lbs of El Dorado!

That means the 6.8% ABV is totally hidden behind a wave of juicy pear, drippy peach, and soft apricot, swimming through enough orange and grapefruit to drench a whale.

Which, by the way, is the only animal you can legally shoot from the window of a moving vehicle in Kentucky. That’s a fact. If you’re driving through Kentucky, and you happen to see a whale, you can shoot it. Without even pulling over.

Of course, you don’t have to drive around Kentucky for a taste of this 4.17 UT-rated hazy IPA. You can snag a few cans right here! Then call up a few buddies and sip this juicy brew while you dye a bunch of ducklings blue. Just don’t try to sell your blue ducklings in Kentucky, because that’s illegal.

Unless you sell them in groups of 6 or more. Seriously. That’s the law.

Rated 4.17 on Untappd by those lucky enough to get a taste.
