A ‘double-double’ means that today’s brew is loaded with twice the amount of hops as an average IPA and that the Brewbound Rising Star award-winners at Braxton gave it not one, but two dry-hopping sessions. Double Hopped: Braxton went big for this one with an 8.2% ABV. To disguise all that booze, they needed to drench it in dank, tropical hop juice. So, they loaded up Invent The Universe with over 6lbs-per-barrel of ruby-red grapefruity Citra, dank Motueka, orange creamsicle-like Lotus, and passionfruit-y Vic Secret Hops — that’s over twice as many hops as the average IPA!
