About This Beer
Who doesn’t love a flaky almond pastry with their morning cuppa?
The Paddington of the pastry case inspired the GABF medalists Wiley Roots to cook up a Breakfast At Wiley’s Oatmeal Milk Stout worthy of the name Bear Claw. They layered coffee and lactose over a velvety oatmeal base and backed it up with almond flour and vanilla for a seamlessly smooth brew.
Tasting Notes
This sipper is dark and malty with a toasted sweetness and almond nuance you’ll be itching to get your paws on. And it’s deliciously drenched with roasty coffee.

I didn't realize how much beer could taste like coffee till I had this one!! So smooth I forgot I was drinking a beer. No bitterness, at all. I thought I'd make a "mocha" and pour it over chocolate ice cream but got so much more!! It turned into this delectable fudgy popsicle concoction. Just like the summer of '87. Would beer float this again.

plain , no ‘bear claw’ personality

Creamy, smooth brew. Plenty of coffee, a bit weaker almond presence. Wiley always does solid coffee stouts.

Decent but liked the French toast one way more. This one just had a super weird almond flavor and a lot of bitterness.

Wow, what a great oatmeal milk stout! A hint at nuts, coffee and vanilla just add to the tastiness!

nothing special - somewhat tame and mild in flavors - not wowed by this one

Lots of cinnamon and some almond flavor. Coffee is muted and brew is a little too sweet.
