When I was a kid, I freakin’ loved the holidays. 

Every year, we would drive to the local U-Cut Tree Farm and hunt for the absolute perfect tree to bring home. Then, we’d spend the day stringing up tinsel and ornaments, while my mom fixed us each a mug of her famous mulled cranberry and citrus cider. 

Oh man, just thinking about the way the house smelled, the huge fruity, warm, jammy aromas wafting into my bedroom from the kitchen… it’s enough to bring a childlike twinkle to my eye!
