About This Beer
Broken Bridge started with… well, a bridge! The crew at Lake Effect was fed up with construction on the Montrose Bridge not far from their brewery –– it connects them to many of their loyal drinkers and their friends at Old Irving Brewing. So, they decided to “bridge” the gap between themselves and Old Irving with an appropriately time-consuming barrel aged beer. After a year in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels, Broken Bridge is a big Stout with rich barrel flavors!

Love a simple, down to earth BBA stout w/o all the adjuncts. BBA, oakley, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, simply extravagant. I regret only getting one can. As a stout drinker, it's not too boozy for 14‰

Rich chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, and some dark fruits lingering in the background.

Nice chocolate and dark fruit notes. Smooth base stout to rest upon.

Decent beer. However the bourbon flavor tastes like an extract or an additive versus something that was imparted on the beer over months in a barrel. Still a good beer but just feel like they cut corners.

Chocolately, caramelly, and boozy but smooth
