A Note on This Beer
Whenever The Brother is released, the entirety of Seattle storms Fremont’s Urban Beer Garden, draining kegs and buying up their bottle limits until the brewery runs out. We snatched enough bottles especially for those who loved its display of Northwest attitude before. If you’re still waiting to try the ideal NW hopbomb, let this be your first taste of hoppy kismet.
One of the very first IPAs we brought you, The Brother introduced the Tavour community to the best of Seattle craft beer, and for many of you, it remains the flagbearer of Northwest IPAs.
With its pine-drenched nose of ripe citrus and resinous, bitter orange intensity, we’re thrilled to bring this 8.5% ABV legend back to your palates just in time for summer.
The method behind the madness is Fremont’s bold display of Northwest Hops throughout the brewing process. Over two pounds of Centennial, Chinook, and Columbus Hops are in every keg, emphatically showcasing megadoses of evergreen, citrus, and bitter glory. Additions of Amarillo Hop extract dose the nose in herbal shades of dank, while rounding out the flavor with the right amount of resin.
Every city has a beer that taps into the very essence of its craft identity, and for hop-craving Seattle, that brew is Fremont Brewing Company’s “billion IBU” The Brother Imperial IPA.
