A Note on This Beer
Ingredients: Brewed with Mosaic, Galaxy, and BRU-1 Hops alongside additions of real blood oranges and sweet cherry purée. Freaky Flavors: The hops give it a steady rhythm of orangey dankness and sweet notes of tropical pineapple, backed by berry cherry brightness and tangy blood orange juiciness.
Don’t let your hemophobic friends see you drinking this Pale Ale. The name alone will likely send those who fear blood running for the hills.
Of course, you could always point out that Cypress brewed it with blood oranges and cherries. But then, they’d probably want a taste.
Next thing you know, they’re begging for more, and more, until they’ve slurped up every deep red-hued drop and you’re left with nothing. And, since Cypress’ beers are a truly rare sight outside of New Jersey, that would be a big problem!
The brewers chose hops that would make this edgy brew burst with fresh-pressed, citrus juiciness. Add some fruit purée to that, and you end up with a Blood Orange Pale Ale that fans are saying “really works. Pleasantly surprised!”
Translation: it’s bloody delicious.
So, yeah. Maybe let your more squeamish friends believe what they want about BRU’d With Blood. That way, you can enjoy the real fruit-infused luxuriance of this Pale Ale all for yourself!
Best of NJ Magazine praises Cypress for crafting “forward-thinking beers,” like BRU’d With Blood; PorchDrinking.com raves, “Every beer at Cypress Brewing has standout flavor!”
