About This Beer
The crew at Vault City teamed up with fellow Scottish beer makers at Brewgooder and single-malt distillers at Bruichladdich to craft their take on the classic cocktail. They started with a mixed fermentation base Sour Ale and then barrel-aged it in Bruichladdich casks for nine months.
Tasting Notes
Additions of hand-picked lemon balm foraged locally from Islay and Scottish heather honey swirl together, creating a gorgeous balance between tangy acidity and smokey sweetness. A kiss of peaty oak comes through on the backend to round out the complex flavor.

it starts off nice with light tart honey flavors but ended more like apple cider vinegar for me so took the rating way down

Lots of sour funk in the nose - very farmhouse-reminiscent. Tart, grapey, honey for days, sweet lemon, and pillowy on the palate. Honey sweet finish.
