About This Beer
In a nod to the show-stopping, fiery New Orleans cocktail Brulot Diabolique, the crew at Grimm aged their Stout base in Taconic whiskey and brown sugar rum barrels, then layered it with cinnamon, cloves, coffee, and orange zest!
Tasting Notes
Every creamy quaff bursts with complex characteristics. The chocolate tones weave through rich, roasted coffee like a second line through the French Quarter. And the cozy baking spices and zesty citrus jazz up the sip while the finish lifts your spirits with an oaky kiss of liquor.

standard strong spiced stout on the nose. strong cinnamon and spice notes; Bodine’s less than expected.

Nice combination of orange and cinnamon on the stout base. Whiskey aging is a good touch.

Subtle aromatic notes of orange essence, with a warming finish of cinnamon and cloves. On the exhale, I detected more of the bitterness of dark roast coffee beans, as well as the brown sugar sweetness and roundness of rum-infused wood.
