A Note on This Beer
My grandmother and I had a deal when it came to making blackberry cobbler. I’d pick the berries, and she’d do the baking.
It was tough work picking all those berries off their thorny vines, but the reward of grandma’s freshly-baked, vanilla-cinnamon treat was well worth it!
It seems the brewers at Hardywood Park are just as committed to tasty rewards. They condition their Bubby’s Blackberry Cobbler Witbier with plump blackberries that grow just a hop, skip, and a jump from the brewery’s front doors!
On top of that, these Virginia brewers give their jammy Wit a 6.8% ABV to create a treat that tastes just like grandma’s cobbler with a boozy kick. Then, they load it with heaps of cinnamon, milk sugar, toasted coconut, and whole Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans for a sweet and creamy “a la mode” mouthfeel.
Beware, my cobbler-lovin friends. Unless you live near Virginia or D.C., the chances of getting your paws on a can are slim to none. Luckily, the Word Beer Cup Championship winners are sharing it with you today, right here!
