You know that floaty feeling when you’re falling asleep and the edges of your body start to melt away? When you’re so relaxed that you’re like butter on toast?
Sipping on Transient’s deep, dark Buckley Select #4 will have you drifting into dreamland, but never send you to sleep. The brewers layered this Breakfast Stout with Violet Sky cocoa nibs, vanilla, Michigan maple syrup, and Tugboat Coffee and then bedded it down for an 18-month nap in Prichard’s Double Chocolate Bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes
It’s rich and layered, with coffee and chocolate at the core. Whiskey aromas from the barrels are boosted and sustained by creamy vanilla and the slight smokiness of real maple syrup. At 14.5% ABV, Buckley Select #4 is a boozy slow sipper for a moment of relaxation.
