About This Beer

To make this delightfully easy drinking brew, they started with a mixed culture Farmhouse Ale, and added carefully considered amounts of rosemary, lavender, and spearmint — just enough to accentuate the wild flavors of the base beer without overwhelming it. Then they allowed the brew to referment with fresh, hand processed watermelon.

Sweet fresh watermelon. Lavender, mint and rosemary fresh from the garden. Subtle citrus. A farmhouse from the earth itself.

[Cellared since August 2023] Bright golden color. Mostly clear. Highly effervescent, with a thick head from the bottle conditioning. Average head retention, but some nice lacing. Strong scent of watermelon, with undertones of mint. Effervescent, with an ultra-light body. Powerful watermelon flavor, followed by lavender in order of dominance. Lavender, mint, and rosemary blend beautifully, their fusion adding an earthy edge to the botanical, herbal, and floral profile. Remarkable depth and complexity of flavor. Mildly tart, but overall, more dry and tangy than sour. A very unique and truly fantastic experience.
