About This Beer
Chicago locals have something even better than Cubs season to look forward to: Revolution Brewing’s annual release of its Barrel-Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stouts.
It’s no wonder that mobs wait all year to get their mitts on the stuff — these barrel-aged brew maestros have a gargantuan mountain of awards from GABF, the World Beer Cup, the Festival of Barrel Aged Beers, and more!
Enter Cafe Deth, this coffee-soaked brew that packs a massive 14.8% ABV.
To craft it, the celebrated Chicago brewers start with their Imperial Oatmeal Stout, a rich, chocolatey brew, and pack it with loads of locally-roasted beans from the Windy City’s own Dark Matter Coffee. Then, they let it all mingle for a year in oak barrels!
Tasting Notes
Sophisticated espresso aromas permeate the air with each pitch-black pour. Take a sip, and tumble into decadent depths of oaky vanilla, dark chocolate, and whiskey caramel that beautifully balance the roasty brew.
