About This Beer
To make Candy Cap, the two breweries crafted a base with a trio of specialty malts — caramel, chocolate, and roasted. Then they aged it in freshly emptied bourbon barrels for “a very long time” before infusing the beer with the titular mushrooms, Madagascar vanilla beans, and nutmeg.
Tasting Notes
We’re expecting this thick-bodied brew to taste like a stack of gourmet French toast, with notes of maple syrup and bourbon swirling above hints of freshly baked bread. Fudgy nuances should linger long on the finish, leaving little hint of the 14% ABV.
