A Note on This Beer
We all have that buddy who calls himself an IPA purist -- an aficionado. He won’t drink beers with a dousing of fruit juice or any off-the-wall adjuncts, you’ll never see an orange wedge on the top of his glass. He cringes at IPAs with long and muddled hop bills. Needless to say, the chances of impressing him with a beer are slim: he knows what he likes. He’s particular.
He scours the web for single hop IPAs — Mosaic Hops should deliver pure mango citrus notes, Simcoe should radiate with pine from every angle. Only snag is, he can’t seem to find the lesser-known hop varieties like Perle, Bitter Gold or Denali in their pure form.
It’s for people like this guy that we sought out Martin House’s Single Hop IPAs. This Texas brewery focuses each batch in their local’s favorite Cellarman’s Reserve series on a different hop — just one, so its pure flavors can shine through.
The latest edition is Denali Single Hop IPA — bursting with pineapple, citrus, pine, you might not even realize you’re a fan of Denali Hops until you taste them here. This fresh release is hyperfocused on the hoppy pineapple kush aromas and spicy resin flavors. Also named ‘Nuggetzilla’ for its high impact intensity, Denali Hops beam with tropical richness.
Nothing goes into this beer except BEER ingredients — Denali Hop flavors are THE flavors. Remember our discerning beer buddy from earlier? He’s been checking Martin House’s release calendars every couple weeks so he’ll be the first to know when a new one arrives. Here you go, buddy — you’re gonna love this one.
