A Note on This Beer

To you, I’m Philip. To my younger brother, I’m the Marshmallow Bandit.

I was the sibling that mischievously tore through our brand-new boxes of Lucky Charms, only to put them back in our pantry, sad and mallow-less. I just couldn’t resist those colorful, creamy treats!

Needless to say, as soon as I heard 903 released their Charms Pastry Cream Ale, I hopped on a stash quicker than a puppy to a new toy.

And, after a few magically-brewlicious swigs, I can confirm: this treat tastes JUST like a heaping bowl of Lucky Charms. To craft it, the brewers used truck loads of the real cereal, alongside extra helpings of plump marshmallows, lush vanilla, tart cherries, and smooth milk sugar.

Each sip swells with nostalgic notes of sugar-dusted berries and frosted oats, complemented by a pinch of lip-puckering fruitiness. The mouthfeel? Softer than a dollop of marshmallow fluff!

And, at a whopping 10.7% ABV, it’s JUST the treat to actually share with my brother this time around. Probably. Maybe. If he’s lucky.

Crisp in the beginning, gets dark mid gulp with a burnt sugar taste, and finishes with a taste marshmallow and cherry.

Nose is sweet, taste is marshmallow and cherries, finishes with a burnt taste that really lingers and kinda ruins the rest.

I’m not sure what everyone is bitching about. It’s a gimmick of course. But considering it’s got a 10.7% abv, it’s a damn good beer. I taste the cereal, then cherry, and it’s smooth because of the marshmallow even if there isn’t much taste.

First sip was a bit sour and not the taste expected. Second sip the notes of toasted oats and marshmallow peeked through. Few times while drinking this beer did memories of my favorite childhood Lucky Marshmallow cereal came through. Also the high ABV seemed hidden, but became very present in taste halfway through. A valid attempt, needs some tweaks to really nail it.

Solid cream ale. Came off a bit bitter on the front end, but sweet & tastes like lucky charms on the back end. Does not taste as strong as it is though.

Im a big lucky charms fan and the smell is nice, but the taste is often off on each sip. Can taste the milk sugar and sometimes the marshmallow but overall from beginning to end of each sip. No bueno. The ABV helps tho, lol. Was good for a one time experience but doubt i would ever order again.

It really tastes like the cereal and not in a cloin gross kind of way. I love this beer. But be warned, it is so strong, you will be messed up on only one.

Been wanting to try this for awhile just could not get my hands on it thanks Tavour. So to the taste it has a very smooth taste to it. Has a nice 10.7% alc content. Can taste the marshmallow notes hint of cherry, has a nice after taste to it , not bitter at all, Only need to drink 1 of these for sure to get the party started.

Not the best cream ale I’ve had but the marshmallows and vanilla really comes through. A little too much bite from the 10.7% alcohol for me to love.

Very good first couple sips where you can taste the lucky charms they where going for. After a little bit though that 10.7 abv kicks in and you lose it a bit. Still very good. Not my favorite from 903 but it’s enjoyable for what it is.
