A Note on This Beer
The legends at Allagash Brewing cite “cherry-lime slushies and hazy summer evenings at the drive-in” as the inspiration for today’s Cherry Lime Times.
One sip of this refreshing foudre-aged Sour, and you’ll realize exactly what they mean!
Every taste starts soft, with whispers of the Maine-grown cherries this brew shared barrels with for four months. But, give it a moment, and the flavors become more juicy and pronouncedly tart, backed with murmurs of oaky funk. A nice citrus tang comes in on the finish, thanks to the lime zest the brewers added late in the aging process.
It evokes feelings of sitting outside, slurping up melty Italian ices as the sun dips low behind a field. Quiet now, the movie’s about to start.
It’s practically impossible to talk about Northeast beer without including Allagash Brewing! Launched in 1995, the highly decorated Maine crew is now one of the 50 largest craft breweries in the nation.
Tavour strictly supports independent beer. Allagash Brewing Company is certified independent by the Brewers Association
