About This Beer
What’s more luxurious than cherry cordial? How about a chocolate and cherry Sour enhanced with rosehips?
Tasting Notes
Often used in teas and some wines, rose hips — the “fruit” of a rose bush — bring a tangy, jammy flavor almost like a cross between a cranberry and a Granny Smith apple. In a Sour, it brings a semi-floral depth and intricacy to the luscious stone fruit notes.

Very prideful and true to it's nature. The cherries added to this brew makes for a pucker and true sour. I applaud Ferndale for sticking to their guns and making a rich and tangy sour, as to most sours I've tasted lately have been more on the sweeter side.
Definitely gives you coco vibes that is very pleasing to waft before you sip. The cherries can be a bit overpowering as it ruptures the coco and just missing it's mark of balance for what could've made for something spectacular. However, this is not a terrible sour at the least.
This brew is not for the feign of heart. If you are in to having your taste buds do the moonwalk through its tangy charm then this one is for you!

I bought this because it was a flavor profile of a heavy stout but in a sour ale form and was curious to how they would do it. I think it is good overall and shows it is clearly a sour, with milder hints of chocolate and cherry.

Eh, it’s alright. Very sour with little chocolate or cherry taste. Not bad, but nothing to write home about either.

IF you love everything about sours-you’ll probably love this. extremely ‘fruited’ sour-kind of a chocolate cherry linger on the aftertaste but it was okay.
