A Note on This Beer
When I made chocolate milk as a kid, I would squeeze half a bottle of Hershey’s syrup into a glass, pour a couple splashes of milk on top, and take that baby to Swirltown. And now, as a beer-loving adult, I want my chocolate Milk Stouts to taste the same way.
Until I tasted 4 Hands’ Chocolate Milk Stout, I never thought I’d find any brewery that shared my same chocolate milk philosophy. Even though Thrillist praised their “excellence in Stoutsmanship,” I had my reservations. And even with a label featuring a very trustworthy-looking cow, I couldn’t bear to be let down after so many close-but-no-Nesquik past experiences.
With one sip of this brew I realized that I’d finally found it: a Stout version of my beloved childhood beverage, Yoohoo! I swear I want to slurp this stuff down with a straw, and with its easy-going 5.5% ABV and soft, creamy mouthfeel from lactose, I probably would. And since 4 Hands loads it with 3 lbs of cacao nibs per barrel, the flavor is my kinda chocolate-heavy ratio.
Come to find out, 4 Hands launched an entire Chocolate Milk Stout empire with this beer — they make over 20 different variants! These guys are as choco-crazed as me!
I hereby put my Choco Milk Connoisseur stamp of approval on this Chocolate Milk Stout. 4 Hands puts it in cans too, so you’ll never have to struggle with those impossible-to-open paper cartons again! MOO! Oops, excuse me, that’s just how I burp.
