About This Beer
Of all the barrels in all the breweries in all the world, this one aged in Prairie’s. And it’s a good thing, too. Even through the darkness of bourbon-drenched oak, they know exactly how to make vanilla and cacao nibs shine!
Tasting Notes
This pitch-black pour features ribbons of mellow vanilla that swirl through the sip. The silky flavor brightens the chocolatey malts for a fantastically fudgy gulp. A tinge of tannic, whiskey-kissed wood bolsters the concoction’s sweetness with a rush of spiked cocoa nuance.

I’d give serious consideration to a life of crime if breaking and entering were the only way to get my hands on a stout from PAA. CN finds a way to incorporate vanilla without sweetening things up. Bitter choco and barrel flavors also shine.

Nice chocolate and boozy notes. Smooth dessert beer without being too sweet.

Chocolate, smooth, just right amount of sweetness, touch of bourbon flavor. A good very good beer that does not taste 14.3 abv.

This syrupy chocolate and vanilla booze bomb is amazing. Strong hints of cocoa in the nose followed by faint hints of coffee and vanilla. The bourbon is subtle but potent and lingers on the pallet.

Aromas of cherry, oak, vanilla, and tons of cacao/chocolate; traces of bourbon emerge as it warms. Flavors are predominantly chocolate, vanillin extract, and a trace of dark fruits. The finish is dry for a Prairie stout. Fudgy, complex, and delicious.
