About This Beer
For this seasonal stunner, the River North crew teamed up with Hammond’s Candies. The duo started with a robust beer base, then conditioned it on silky chocolate and Hammond’s peppermints.
Tasting Notes
Every taste of this Imperial Porter is like a sip of an opulent peppermint mocha cold brew. Roasty, coffee-like nuances of the base beer melt into mint and chocolate notes so authentic, you’d think they brewed it with artisanal candy. Because they did!

Improved as it warmed but had a rather chemical taste to it. Love stouts and love peppermint, but here together, it was a miss.

A rare L for River North. I wouldn’t normally try any beer with peppermint in it, but I had to see how RN would do it. Sadly it still tasted like cleaning products and medicine mixed together.

Average base, light on chocolate and peppermint, not really a sweet or dessert beer either. Other River North beers are better.

Was medicinal at first but once it opened up it was quite good. The overwhelming peppermint settled down.
