A Note on This Beer

Cinnamon Toast Crunch is one of my all-time favorite cereals.

I can’t even blame the cinnamon sugar-covered squares for getting cannibalistic on TV — whether those little grahams are swimming in milk or on their own, every bite is a step into sweet, baking spice bliss.

Now, I’m happily swapping out my bowl for a pint glass. The creative minds at 903 Brewers captured those craveable cinna-squares in Cream Ale form!

It’s called Cinna-Toast Munch, and man, this stuff is a treat. The brewers wove in real cinnamon, milk sugar, and vanilla, creating gentle waves of the delicious breakfast food. And, with the crisp Cream Ale body, every sip is smooth and refreshing, rather than cloying.

as someone who grew up eating this cereal on Saturday mornings I think the flavor profile is exactly as described, the powdery cinnamon is fully represented, I smelled it as soon as I opened the can and tasted it on my first sip, added with the milk sugar, it was exactly as I hoped it would be!

The cinnamon flavor was very muted and only was picked up on after I had finished about half of the can. This was an ok ale, but I was really expecting something a lot better from 903.

Such a disappointment, no cinnamon taste whatsoever! It's also quite bitter. I mixed with "Fireball" to add a taste of cinnamon and some sweetness. Not the best beer to drink on its own.

I’ve loved everything I’ve had from 930, but I was disappointed here. I’m a big cinnamon fan and was looking forward to the spicy/sweet flavor of the breakfast cereal, but the milk sugar was just overwhelming and drowned out everything else.

On paper 903 should be every single thing I love in a brewery. They brew some of the freshest flavors in the game right now. and I’ve drank a bunch of them off Tavour. Then the 903 brews get to my house, I crack them open, and I have the same problem every time. There’s just not enough of the flavor they are marketing. This Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cream Ale suffers just the same. It’s a fine tasting cream ale, but let’s be honest, we all bought this for the cinnamon. If no one had told me this Ale contained cinnamon, I wouldn’t have noticed. You get the cereal finish with the hops, and just the tiniest bit of cinnamon with it. Otherwise it’s a bland offering. Not a bad beer, just not what was advertised.

I like that this still tastes like beer, but still has the cereal flavor. The cereal flavor is a bit too light, so it starts tasting like an okay light beer. More of the cereal flavor and I'd like it more.
