A Note on This Beer

Baskin-Robbins may have the ice cream game on-lock, but Full Circle and Crowns & Hops are the only sherbet-slingin’ duo I’ve got eyes for, right now.

No wonder I keep stealing sips of this Circle of Crowns Sour Ale. The two California craft crews brewed it with all the proper fixin’s for Rainbow Sherbet straight out of the ice cream shop: tangy pineapples, juicy red raspberries, and sweet oranges.

Bright raspberry tartness kicks in first, followed by bright splashes of pineapple nectar and soft, drippy citrus. Each taste is like licking a push-pop made of silky-soft fruit sherbet.

Plus, at 6.6% ABV, it’s almost too easy to down a can! And, as the weather warms up, I’d rather cool off with a fruity brew than a cup of ice cream that’ll just melt away before I can finish it.

The fact it comes from Full Circle and Crowns & Hops is an extra reason this summery brew is so cool. The two California breweries are on the fast track to greatness!

Full Circle is the longest-running brewery in California’s Central Valley, and one that Forbes praised for “Making Their Mark in the Craft Brewing Industry.” Their buddies at Crowns & Hops are Inglewood’s very first Black-owned brewery, AND they were Hop Culture’s Best New Brewery in 2020!

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

The sour flavor dominates the other flavors. A little too sour for me, but if sour beers are your thing you will love this.

Solidly balanced sour. Don't understand the hate on it. It is exactly what it says it is. If you were expecting a smoothie style, this is not it.

Wife says: Exactly what I’m looking for when I’m craving a sour beer. My take: This beer is great. Really hits you with sour right off the bat, and finishes with some nice (if laid back) flavors.

A solid amount of pucker after the sip. No lactose here! ( thank the Lord!) This sour ale will not cheat you on the tartness. Wow!

I honestly had high hopes for this one. No hints of orange, pineapple or raspberry. Just straight Sour Ale with a strong emphasis on the sour. Not for me

Starts so tart and finishes so mellow, smooth and sweet like sherbet from the ice cream aisle. Two dominant flavors appropriately brought together by two great Cali breweries.

With sherbet in the title, it could’ve used a noticeable bit of sweetness. Ultra sour from start to finish.

Bright, sour wild yeasty aroma. Mostly pineapple on the palate with a little bit of citrus. Sweet, sour sticky finish.

This was not very good. It was just sour, nothing really resembling rainbow sherbet was detected. Wouldn’t buy it again or recommend it to anyone
