About This Beer
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary has the following to say about this beer:
“Not to be confused with a garden-variety diss, a Clapback is deemed by most as a targeted, often viciously acute comeback intended to place someone in much-needed check.”
I’m not sure who talked smack to New Anthem Brewing, but I bet this top-rated Imperial IPA shut them up real quick. Heck, this 100% Citra Hopped beast might leave you speechless, too — it took home Double Gold at the North Carolina Brewers Cup!
Tasting Notes
Every sip overflows with tangy tangerine and pithy grapefruit flavors, while the thick body finishes ultra smooth and soft. Fans are calling it “liquid gold,” “deep and awesome,” and “one of the best, folks!”

I learning that the flavor off pure citra hop ipa’s are not my thing ... but I don’t like the smell of a perm or grapefruit peels either

Great citrus flavors, smooth, and very drinkable. I’d but more of this in a heartbeat.

Daily corona battle. Chaos of a day “working” with small humans around edition. Double citra goodness. Lots of citrus tangerine, finishes with a grapefruity pithy bit of hop bite. Juicy and tasty. Slight down tick for hint of a metallic finish.

I bought 6 and I already wish I’d bought more! Clapback is thick and opaque with just the right hint of hop burn on the finish. I taste clementines and apricot; juicy but not overly sweet. I’m going to have to ration my stash to keep myself from drinking them all too fast.

Strong hit of guava straight away.
Think red coral, sugar poppy, and watermelon slice swatches;
The deep, rich, fruity smoothie;
Then arises a bright note of tartness and a beautiful floral summoning, billowing up and prevading the whole palette,
