A Note on This Beer
Farmhouse and IPA fans, prepare for freakout in 3...2...1…
Jester King was one of the first breweries to introduce the Farmhouse style to the US. Impressed by their innovation, both Paste Mag and Vinepair placed them in the Top 35 Best Breweries of the Last Decade!
Tired Hands is also a very big deal in the craft community. The Philadelphia Inquirer calls their IPA releases “beer flash mobs” that descend on each small batch, often causing sell-outs in less than two hours!
Now, the Farmhouse experts at Jester King and the IPA specialists at Tired Hands have joined forces to craft Cloudfeeder Farmhouse IPA!
The beer is extravagant. The brewers start with Texas’ Hill Country well water. They ferment it with JK’s mixed culture blend of brewers yeast, native yeast, and wild yeast harvested from the land and air around their 165 acre estate. Then, they referment it with Pennsylvania honey, and zest and juice from Texas limes and grapefruits. And they dry-hop with Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe Hops.
The process is insane, the ingredients are precious, and the flavor is a wonderland of white grape, citrus, and funk!
A beer from either one of these breweries is considered a keepsake by Farmhouse and IPA fans alike. But securing a collaboration between the two of them — now that’s quite the find!
