About This Beer
To make this one, the Seattle brewers took their legendary Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star, combined it with a BA Golden Barleywine, and added a measure of vanilla barrel aged Stout. Then they blended it with a fresh Porter made with creamy coconut.
Tasting Notes
You’ll taste flavors of dark chocolate, sumptuous vanilla, and hints of top shelf whiskey. Coconut comes through at the end for a seriously smooth finish. Just watch out, or you’re liable to forget all about that 10% ABV.

Aromas of vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, and subtle fruit. Rich mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Mildly sweet, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, roasty malts, and coconut. on the finish. Great depth of flavor, very tasty.

Yep that's tasty. My biggest regret with this beer is I didn't order more of it.

Not my favorite cuv from Fremont. Too sweet and too vanilla-y. Didn’t necessarily hate it but it was still a DNF.

Pretty classy blend in a can. Sweet but with a richness that you would expect from a bottle. Call it what you like, but a strong ale is what it is.

Cherry, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, aromas, thick creamy head, subtle coconut sweetness and vanilla tastes with hints of Bourbon, Barleywine, Porter, and Stout, medium body and silky mouthfeel, and a warming alcohol finish.

Roast malt, licorice, cola, and soy sauce, develops into caramel, fudge, vanilla, coconut, dark fruit, and bourbon. Odd but complex, but excellent for the price.

Drinks more like a stout than a cuvee compared to the ones I've had, but this was still tasty. The lower ABV makes this east to drink and keep drinking.

Sweet tapdancing Christ! This beer will make you question if OTHER brewers even know what a beer is. Fremont kills it again.
