The experts at Craft Beer and Brewing rated today’s Coffee Maple Achromatic a 97/100 in their own review. They say, “this beer is like eating a piece of coffee candy and a maple cookie at the same time!”

They’re not the only ones to fall for this insanely awesome Stout. It holds a sky-high 97/100 on BeerAdvocate, and an equally outrageous 4.38 on Untappd. 

So, there’s really only one question: how did the Stout experts at Colorado’s WeldWerks make it so freakin’ good?

First, they crafted a mash with massive amounts of chocolate malt for fudgy flavors. Then, they boiled it for more than 6 hours, caramelizing the sugars to create notes of candied date and toffee, while also giving the brew a thick, chewy mouthfeel. YUM!

While all that was happening, they sweetened the deal with multiple additions of real maple syrup — an ideal way to balance out absurd amounts of Peruvian coffee!
