To make this incredible concoction, the expert team at Masthead let this brew sit on whole roasted coffee beans sourced from the local java aficionados at Six Shooter Coffee. Then, they aged it in Woodford Reserve Barrels until it took on notes of woodspice and warming whiskey

Nice medium body, coffee aroma is matched with the taste. Smooth all around. Barrel is subtle. Mild alcohol heat as it warms.

This was a delicious bourbon barrel aged stout, but almost completely drowned out the delicious coffee I'm sure was hidden within. With barrel dialed down a bit, this would be perfect.
