A Note on This Beer
My grandma makes a mixed berry cobbler that will knock your socks off. It’s her signature dish at family gatherings, and ten year-old me would suffer any amount of brussels sprouts and meat loaf to get to the mouthwatering light at the end of the tunnel.
So, when I heard that Garagiste Meadery, who happens to be the #12 Rated Brewery in the World on Untappd, was releasing a mixed-berry cobbler Mead, I threw my kale salad out of the window in a fury!
It occurred to me — why waste time on salad, when I could have this luscious, fruit-packed fantasy? I’m an adult, after all, and I can eat dessert any time I want!
For this magical Mead, Garagiste carefully selected European blackberries, Mexican raspberries, and Canadian wild blueberries. Like artisan chefs, they used organic Brazilian Quince honey and gluten free graham crackers. Conditioning on exotic Amburana wood staves (also known as Brazilian oak) adds notes of gingerbread, vanilla, and baking spices.
Each juicy sip whisks my tastebuds back to grandma’s kitchen table, with flavors of fresh berry cobbler and a graham cracker crust finish!
The only difference between this cobbler and grandma’s is that it comes with a hefty 13% ABV!
This Mead is too new for ratings, but fans like @jenni w. are already gushing, “Omg this one is so beyond amazing; going to be going back to buy more NOW. The berries, the graham crackers, everything!”
So, go ahead — spoil your appetite! This Mead is WAY too tasty to wait ‘til dessert.
