About This Beer
White Rooster collaborated with two other Illinois breweries — Scratch and Millpond — to craft this rich and roasty, 12.5% ABV, port barrel aged Imperial Stout.
Tasting Notes
It pours dark and smooth, with notes of toasty malt and caramel on the nose. On the sip, it balances bitter cocoa with dark berries and just a whisper of coffee. The barrel lends a tannic tone and hints of vinous Port to the impression of baking chocolate in its dry finish.

So good! Layers of flavor. Port wine comes thru with plum, fig, and raisin. There’s espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Smooth, silky, and decadent.

Kind of a grape taste to it…and I liked it.
