A Note on This Beer
Last week, the relentless heat really got to me. I was ready to jump into the Pacific Ocean until my friend took me to Urban Family Brewing for one of their coveted Fruited Sours.
Urban Family is THE place to go for refreshingly fruity Sour Ales. Seattle Magazine calls them the “crowd favorite” for craft fans in the city! And, with the release of their new acai and blueberry-packed Conjure, I had a feeling we weren’t the only ones headed to the taproom that day.
As soon as we walked around the corner to the patio filled with benches and bright umbrellas, I could see thirsty craft fans slurping down slushied versions of Urban’s crushable Sours.
Our curiosity got the better of us, so we decided to double fist it! We ordered two versions of Conjure each — as an ice-cold can and as a frothy slushy.
This crisp treasure washes over the tongue with succulently tart blueberry juice. A gentle tide of earthy acai envelopes the tongue with notes of tart, wild blackberries and just a hint of unsweetened chocolate.
We slurped down every last drop of this thirst-quencher in no time, and just had to order a second round!
Our verdict: Whether you drink it from a chilled bottle or turn it into a slushie, this brew is like a fruit-laden cool breeze every summer lovin’ craft fan needs!
