About This Beer
The legendary Allagash crew crafted this sunset-red brew by recreating the true terroir of Maine. They used a coolship to capture wild microbes from the night air and used them to ferment the beer, so when you drink it you’re tasting the crisp flavors of Maine.
Then, they aged the brew in oak wine barrels for over two years before adding 100 lbs of locally picked raspberries per barrel! After another 4-5 months of resting on the fruit, it’s finally ready.
Tasting Notes
When it comes out of those barrels, it’s just as bright and sunny as the berries that flavored it! Bold sweet-tart notes burst from every sip, along with subtle nuances of apricot, lemongrass, and a delicate note of oak.

Raspberry funk with a tart, dry finish. Was surprised to read it was naturally fermented and carbonated, the carbonation was pretty strong giving a crispness to it. Very enjoyable!

This just isn’t my cup of tea. (Or vinegary booze, as it were.)

A very nice Lambic, great tart fruit taste and very similar to the best Belgium Lambics.

I always like Allagash and this was good too but a little overly sour and not as balanced as most of their offerings
