About This Beer

To craft this treat, the phenomenal crew at Wayfinder teamed up with gourd guru Dick Cantwell — founder of Elysian Brewing, the PNW’s legendary Great Pumpkin Beer Festival, and now Magnolia Brewing. And they also brought in pumpkin-kid Steve Luke, former Elysian brewer who went on to be founder/head brewer at Cloudburst — 2021 GABF Brewer and Brewery of the Year.

The collab opted for a richer decocted base fermented with Corporate Ale yeast. Then they aged it on Amburana wood, complementing pumpkin flavors with decadent nuances of vanilla oak.

Tasting Notes

Gourdy goodness erupts out of every sip with swirls of delicate cinnamon nuance and woody spice courtesy of Amburana. An earthy note rounds out the finish for a refreshing crusher you’ll likely want to come back to all autumn long.

Below average pumpkin ale and quite bland. It tasted like an ordinary ale. Where's the pumpkin?? I picked up almost none. With the description and experience of brewers, was hoping for more. Would appeal maybe to only those who like very subtle flavor.
