About This Beer
To qualify as a “Fresh Hop” beer, brewers must get whole hop cones into the boil within a mere 24 hours of harvest!
It’s a mad dash. But well worth it! These seasonal sippers pack big, bright, herbaceous flavors — with only a fraction of the bitterness. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is an ideal example!
Fremont brewed Cowiche Canyon in partnership with the hop farmers situated in the Yakima gorge the beer is named after. In an active effort to expand Washington’s organic hop industry, the brewers picked select organic Fresh Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe, and Ekuanot Hops and rapidly brewed them into the soft, sweet brew. A dry hop with organic Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe imparts even more lush flavor.
Tasting Notes
Vivid nuances of zesty orange and bright apricot flow through every sip. Grapefruit pith leads into verdant notes of soft grass and spiced pine with swirls of smoke throughout.
