A Note on This Beer

When I was first introduced to the shandy back in college, I was told it was just “half beer, half lemonade, and you’re good to go!” It tasted pretty refreshing too, for college.

Now, with today’s Cranberry Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale, Hoppin’ Frog has upped the game in ways college me couldn’t have imagined!

The GABF gold medalists started with their original Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale, brewed in traditional European Radler fashion with a refreshing combo of lemon and light malt flavors. Then, they cranked it up with a 7% ABV and juiced it with loads of cranberries!

Each sip is refreshingly tart with a slight jammy sweetness. A whisper of florals punctuates the finish. It’s impressively crisp yet full bodied, too.

Also unlike college, this expertly crafted brew isn’t something you can just whip up over a sink, and it can’t even be found on the average grocery store shelf.

While you probably have some fond memories of your undergrad years too, I think we can all agree on this: our taste buds are way more sophisticated now!

This is good! Can definitely taste the cranberry, but it's perfectly balanced with some citrus.. Sweet with a little tart. Nice & crisp. Almost has a cider feel to it.

Tart and not overly sweet. You can taste the tangy citrus and cranberry. The 7% sneaks up on ya so be careful. Haha. Wish this came in a 16oz can.

I did not enjoy this honestly. I have two in my fridge that ill probably just get rid of. Expected heavier cranberry and alittle but more tartness
