About This Beer
The Oregon legends crafted today’s London-style Porter with a base of Maris Otter, brown, chocolate, and Crystal malts, then fermented it with their favorite strain of English yeast.
Tasting Notes
Toasty aromas soar over each smooth, snappy swig. Subtle malty sweetness wheels around bitter baking chocolate notes along with a hint of roasty coffee. Dark fruit tones follow, shaded by glimmers of almond before landing at a crisp, dry finish. Altogether, Crow Show might give you the impression of a fresh piece of pumpernickel toast — making it ideal for pairing with a hearty stew or a juicy roast.

I'm not, by default, a high-ABV guy, but this seemed a bit too watered down. I enjoy it for how crushable and smooth it is, but the coffee and chocolate and maybe almond notes seem too subdued compared with the toasty malts.

The malts reflected a perfect ESB, the hop had a mild bitterness that was acceptable for the style advertised, and I could easily toss these back with the lower abv.
