About This Beer
To make it, the crew blended two incredible brews — the 4.25 UT-rated Under Story and the 4.22 UT-rated Clear Cut. Both base barleywines spent 14 months in bourbon barrels and additional 12 months in brandy barrels. Then they amped things up with additions of Tahitian and Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Vietnamese Coffee, and Ethiopian Anaerobic Sidma Honey Coffee.
Tasting Notes
On the sip, caramel-drizzled mocha notes ripple overtop a sweet and malty backbone. Dried fig and apple nuances accentuate the sweetness, before fading into subtle hints of oaky vanilla fine cognac.
