A Note on This Beer

Back in the ‘90s, American Pale Ales were much maltier and more full-bodied than the ones you’re probably used to seeing at your local watering hole now. Brewers exclusively used American hops that gave them very prominent bitterness, unlike the “hazier,” new school renditions we see today.

They just don’t make ‘em like they used to.

Which is why the New York hop kings at SingleCut Beersmiths are throwing it back to 1995 with their newly released Cut Out Bin!

They crafted this throwback-in-a-glass with all the malty glory of the classic APAs, and upped the hop intensity well beyond the average new-school Pale Ale.

Cut Out Bin drinks ultra smooth with a big, bready malt base. Strong aromas of white grapefruit and pine waft up from the easy-drinking body. With every clean sip comes fierce, hop-fruity flavor: orange citrus and tangy tangerines dominate, while a whisper of dank, evergreen rounds out the finish.

For those of us like @Rock S. who remember the glory days of the American Pale Ale, Cut Out Bin is truly “a refreshing change of pace!!”

So, why not take a peek back in time and discover what Pale Ales tasted like before everyone went hazy crazy?

Wow! Solid shout out to the brewers at SingleCut for making this wonderful APA in the classic style! Malty, resinous and slightly citrusy flavors and aromas wrapped in a crushable liquid.

I’ve been to this brewery & everything I drank was great, but this was awful! Tasted old, bad smell & after taste. Poured most of it out!

As someone born in the 90's, I never got to experience pale ales like this. Glad I grabbed two in my crate, because this thing is good. Very full-bodied, bready, and stacked full of fruity and bitter flavors. I would be happy to add this to my crate in the future.
