A Note on This Beer
When you have a Stout from Cycle Brewing in your arsenal, be careful who you tell about it.
Even the beer nerds at Gear Patrol call them one of the 25 Best Breweries in America for their impressive, Stout-heavy lineup!
So, if any in-the-know Dark Beer fans were to find out you’re hiding a bottle of today’s Cuvee - Just Coffee (2020), you might have to start running for the hills.
By the looks of things online, everyone and their grandma is chasing after this bourbon-spiked mocha latte!
To make it, the brewers used a blend of Stouts aged 18 to 20 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels. Mixing the different barrels allowed the base beer to soak up the richest combination of bourbon-spice and oaky complexity. Then, they made that base even richer by aging it on freshly roasted coffee beans from Panther — a nationally acclaimed roaster with callouts from Forbes and Condé Nast Traveler!
With a pour that’s black as night and silky smooth, Just Coffee is Dark Beer temptation in physical form. Alongside roasty aromas of italian espresso and impeccably balanced flavors of sweet bourbon caramel and toasted oak, resisting this temptation is nearly impossible.
Again, be careful not to say the name of today’s Bourbon Barrel Aged black gold too loudly. A boozy beauty like this is far too precious to share with ALL the Dark Beer lovers in town.
