“The crazier we get, the better our beer gets!”

So says Jeremy Roberts, brewer and co-founder of Texas’ 903 Brewers.

It seems like he’s right, because the wackier this crew gets, the more folks love them! Just this year, Hop Culture called out 903 as one of the best breweries in Dallas, and Eater published an entire article singing the praises of their “lineup of seriously creative slushy beers!”

Clearly, this is the kind of crazy that’s gotta be tasted! If you’re looking for a sip, just reach for a can of today’s Dad Bod Slushy Ale.

The brewers absolutely loaded this brew with epic amounts of strawberry and guava, and they left so much real fruit in the brew, it actually does drink smoothie-thick. Plus, they wrapped it all up in a ribbon of rich vanilla and lactose for a creamy finish.

So yeah, it’s pretty crazy. In fact, it’s just crazy enough to work!

Nice flavor. You can really taste the guava with a hint of strawberry. The strawberries taste fresh. It doesn’t have that much of a slushy feel and it’s not creamy like a milkshake beer. Tastes fresh, but does leave a film in my mouth and on my teeth. Lots of fruit sediment in each sip, but just adds to the validity of how fresh it is and how real the fruits in it are.

fruity with a slight sour taste but it’s not overwhelming. as someone who hates sours, this is well balanced with the fruit. Guava floats from the first sip, the aroma is amazingly strawberry, and the milk sugar ensures a smooth mix of the sour and sweet. I don’t taste any sea salt though.

I didn’t find it sour at all really. It was AMAZING!! My new favorite! So much guava! It’s dangerous though because it tastes like juice and goes down so easily

Guava made for amazing aromatics and delicious flavor. The strawberry took it a little to the tart side. Thick smoothie, could drink this all day.

Not my favorite 903 but it’s not bad. Lots of guava and strawberry but it’s not the best combo. Good fruit/tart balance. A light fruit smoothie.
