About This Beer
New Image imagined a Barleywine that could do two things: to taste delicious on its own, as an approachable, anytime sipper — and to work as a base for their aging program.
Meet Dagon, the fresh and friendly version.
They created the English-style brew with a blend of six locally-grown specialty malts and hopped the wort with UK Pilgrim and Willamette.
Tasting Notes
The cones give each toffeelike sip a balancing bitterness as well as nuances of citrus and spice. A swirl of the glass reveals aromas of wildflower honey, grapefruit, and cinnamon. It pleases the palate with sweet raisin and cola tones before all that malty caramel fades into a relatively dry finish.
