Deep in the Emerald City, Fremont Brewing uses their hop mastery to craft award winning IPAs. Specially crafted as the Official Beer of Emerald City Comicon, their new Limited Release unites comic nerds and craft beer geeks in a common goal for kickass flavor. 

Dark Heron IPA pairs new experimental HBC 438 Hops with popular tropical flavor-maker Mosaic Hops. This taste-charged 6.6% ABV IPA hits the palate upfront with big nectarous fruit flavors, then transforms with a unique mint and cedar finish.

Dark Heron radiates aromas of oranges and mango. from its golden body and lacing white head. An addition of oats to the grain bill creates a smooth mouthfeel, allowing each hop flavor to burts onto the palate. Mosaic Hops dominate the front end of the flavors with hints of grapefruit rind, and papaya. HBC 438 hops swoop in soon after, expanding the palate with notes of juicy peaches, Atualfo mangos, mint and a touch of dry cyprus in the finish.

An IPA featuring exciting new flavor notes handled by a true Seattle hop-master, Dark Heron is sure to the newest hero on the craft scene. Hopefully Fremont will take a hint and make this beer an annual sighting.
