A Note on This Beer
A few years ago, my buddy Steve and I landed in New Orleans just in time for Mardi Gras. We were there to get down with jazz, bowls of red beans and rice, and maybe the occasional “way too large for human consumption-sized’’ hurricane cocktail. So we went about our way, down Bourbon Street, listening to the trombone players blasting the Mardi Gras Medley.
We took a long strong stroll down the Mississippi, when Steve’s beer cravings hit really hard.
“Man, I just gotta get something juicy and hoppy to stave off this humidity,” Steve said.
As our walk continued, we ran into a few partiers in their crazy outfits holding cups of something that looked hazy.
“Where’d you get that fruit nectar?” Steve asked. They gestured down the block and said “This ain’t no fruit. This is Holy Roller DDH - Galaxy!”
And there was Urban South Brewing. Where charm meets grit, vines cover the graffitied brick and the taproom’s always bumping. Steve asked them for the juiciest thing they had, and the brewmaster slings us both a glass of their Holler Roller DDH - Galaxy IPA. Holy grapefruits, oranges, and pine!
The next time you’re in The Big Easy, you wanna know where to grab a can of this easy-sipping 6.3% ABV hazy? Just wander down until you meet the cobblestone crossroads of bad behavior and good intentions.
