A Note on This Beer
Have you ever wondered about the hop Nelson Sauvin? Like, who’s Nelson and what’s he sauvin up to buy?
Actually, ‘Nelson’ is a central region in New Zealand where these hops are grown. And ‘Sauvin’ is short for Sauvignon Blanc grapes, in reference to the hop’s cool climate and white wine grape flavor!
In a beer like today’s DDH IPA - The Full Nelson, brewed with 100% Nelson Sauvin, you can experience the full range of this Kiwi hop’s bright, juicy character!
Each extremely fruity sip brims with a wide range of flavors: frosty white grapes, ripe passion fruit, tangy grapefruit, and drippy mango with a bit of grassiness on the finish. You might even find yourself thinking it tastes a bit like white wine, but white wine can’t touch this smooth, bold, 8.3% ABV juicebomb!
Not to mention, this small batch brew comes from the U.S. Open Beer Championship winners at TUPPS!
It also can’t be found outside of the Lone Star State. If you want a deliciously full taste of Nelson Sauvin, or a sample of TUPPS award-winning craftsmanship, ‘wine’ not give this tasty helping of the grape hop a shot?
