About This Beer
Turning Point Beer's DDH Johnny Karate pays homage to Parks and Recreation character Andy Dwyer's show within a show, The Johnny Karate Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show. Like Dwyer's fever dream of a ninja-themed variety program, Turning Point's homebrew beginnings gave them the freedom to break the mold. The result is a combination of dry hops and tropical flavors that sports a black belt in fun.
Tasting Notes
DDH Johnny Karate’s swirling melange of bright mandarin, tender mango, and sticky pineapple notes will leave you reeling from a dry hopped roundhouse kick of tropical flavor. It packs a punch but is never overwhelming due to a smooth finish that keeps you coming back for more.

Yeah this is awesome. And intense. I remember trying the Jonny Karate Double IPA but this is a whole new level. Very opaque, heavy body. Slight bitterness with tropical aromas, and of course smooth for 10.5% it’s juicy, hoppy, and hazy. Picture perfect!
