A Note on This Beer

The brewers at Proclamation playfully describe Derivative: El Dorado as “a unicorn in a field of Shetland ponies.” While Shetland ponies are fluffy and adorable, they’re hardly as mysterious and ethereal as unicorns!

And, just like unicorns, Derivative: El Dorado’s magical flavors of juicy oranges and green Life Savers make it far more amazing than your average Pale Ale.

Notes of enchanted limes, bewitching mangoes, and spellbinding orange sherbet burst from each sip. Then, it’s followed by a whisper of toasted malt and a slightly bitter finish. Locals call it “altogether excellent" and "soft in the best way possible".

Sure, this succulently juicy treat isn’t a real unicorn, but for craft fans outside of the Northeast, it's almost as tough to find!

Before you load up the van for a road trip to Rhode Island, relax, ‘cause we have a stash of this mystical brew right here. Just grab some quick, before it vanishes into the ether!

*Proclamation Ale Company was named Thrillist’s Best Brewery in Rhode Island!

Was expecting more- half way in between a pale ale and IPA leaving desire to choose a side

Not too complex, but a solid showcase of el dorado hops.

Nice smooth drinking, with notes of mango and lime. Slight bitterness at the end. Great session brew.

Wow! I wasn't expecting this! Very unique and tasty. Smooth, citrus, slightly malty and then fades to lingering subtle bitter. Something in there almost reminds me of a Belgian white.

I really like the Derivative series, you really get to taste the different hop varietals. This has good soft citrus notes, something almost floral, touch of bitter at the end

Smooth drinking flavor. Citrus flavor upfront and then a small bitterness for the finish.
