  • “Delicious, still one of my faves from Wolf’s Ridge.” @Christy J.

Ask local craft fans where to find the best brews in Columbus, Ohio, and they’ll point you straight to Wolf’s Ridge Brewing!

These titans are sitting on stacks of awards, including gold medals from the 2020 GABF and the 2020 San Diego International Beer Competition!

To create today’s Dire Wolf Canis Mexicanus, the brewers turned up the heat on their gold medal-winning Imperial Stout, Dire Wolf. This fiercely complex sipper has a blend of rich, dark chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, creamy oats, and sweet vanilla beans.

To give it a Mexican chocolate kick, the brewers added hot chili peppers and scintillating cinnamon. Each velvety sip is like drinking a decadent, dark chocolate mocha with invigorating chili heat!

You’d be hard-pressed to find this boozy behemoth outside of Ohio, and we’ve got less than 20 cases to share. Bring a few bottles to your next shindig, and watch your friends’ eyes widen with envy!

HopCulture named Wolf’s Ridge one of the Top 5 Breweries in Columbus!

Spice is a little overwhelming and doesn't allow the chocolate or cinnamon to come through.

just about everything was good besides the spicy kick after taste. Was not a fan.

Bomber from Tavour. Almost black pour, a few brown bubbles then flat. Aroma is Mexican chocolate, savory notes, peppers. Taste pops with a healthy dose of cinnamon and chilis, coffee accents. Spicy, mildly sweet.

Pours dark brown with a thick brown head that sticks for a while. Smells of chocolate liquor with a hint of marshmallow. It’s a big bodied beer but balanced nicely. Not cloyingly sweet though there is a substantial sweetness. Big chocolate and vanilla flavors, with a mix of slight alcohol and pepper burn. Goes down smoothly. A nice dessert beer.

Dark chocolate, oaty, spicy right at the end. Even though it’s 10% it’s so good it’s unnoticeable.

Love the chilis, like the coffee, don’t care for whatever’s making it taste like a rauchbier

Lots of cinnamon and spice. Chocolate first, then a lot of heat. Not for everyone. I think this is incredible. After dinner dessert or a campfire treat.

6/9/21 perfect for an overcast summer afternoon. Beautiful nose of cinnamon and chilies. Chocolate covered chilies, soaked in bitter coffee & vanilla, dusted w/ cinnamon sugar. There’s a pleasant lingering heat. Well executed Mexican hot chocolate!🌶☕️🐺

On paper this sounded amazing, but in execution a solid C, average. The spicy peppers were just too much and drowned out everything else. It's a shame! Would have loved the coffee or chocolate to pop more.
